Our technical and laboratory teams include fully trained and qualified metallurgists responsible for material analysis of our own alloying processes and certified melt stock. This ensures that all of our material meets not only the chemical requirements of our customers’ orders, but also provides traceability to the furnace batch itself. All melts are given their own unique melt number and records are kept by our quality department.
The complexity of the products we supply can only be supported by our industry leading manufacturing platform. We are able to produce sand castings, centrifugal castings, die castings, shell castings and bought-in forgings / bar / stampings.
All components are measured and validated by a combination of mobile and fixed CMM measuring equipment, digital micrometers, digital shadow graph and surface finish testing machinery. Substantial investment has been made in this critical process to ensure we are equipped with the most up to date measuring equipment in ideal environments. Component testing is often based on non-destructive examination by utilising dye penetrant or radiographic procedures. A great deal of our product is supplied to applications requiring PED approval, therefore a large proportion of our testing involves hydrostatic testing from a few bars up to very high pressure. Witness testing during all or part of the process is easily accommodated.
Assembly operations are managed within stand-alone production cells and supported by our electronic MRP systems. Our electronic MRP system has undergone bespoke modification to enable us to launch unique bills of materials at different levels of the manufacturing process.
