By working with our sister Companies (Spunalloys and Meighs & Westleys) we finish machine seals and bearings for wetted main shafts in the naval, marine, and hydro industry. We finish machine singular halves but also pairs including the complete assembly of dowels, plugs, and sealant to reduce onwards assembly at the customer.
Meighs & Westleys also supplies naval, marine, and hydro seal componentry for mechanical seals of wetted shafts. Main shafts can be related to turbines for the hydro electric industry or for the propulsion of ships and submarines.
Our seals are all non-ferrous and are designed to withstand significant corrosion and shock as well as high pressure and demanding axial speeds. Our marine and naval seal are split between oil and water lubricated specification and are critical to the environmental protection of our seas by preventing leaks.
